Handles & fittings: Replace worn handles and knobs, tighten loose fittings and tidy up the old fixing points.
Shelves & storage: Fit open shelves, add shelving inside cupboards or mount hooks and rails where you need them.
Small timber repairs: Repair loose trim, skirting and cupboard kickboards, and finish off those awkward little gaps.

A few practical changes can make an existing bathroom easier to use. Start with the fittings and storage, or tell me what needs fixing.

Mirrors & accessories: Mount a mirror, towel rail, robe hooks or a toilet roll holder, with fixings suited to the wall.
Shelves & storage: Add a shelf or wall cabinet for towels and toiletries, and make better use of a small space.
Vanity doors & handles: Adjust cupboard hinges, replace handles and secure loose doors on an existing vanity.
Minor repairs & touch-ups: Repair small areas of trim and touch up painted surfaces around the room.

Bring me one repair or a list of things around the house. A description of each job helps me work out what’s needed for the visit.

Doors that stick: Adjust or plane a rubbing door, tighten hinges and line up a latch that won’t catch.
Loose handles & hardware: Secure loose handles, replace tired fittings and repair fixing holes where possible.
Shelves & wall fittings: Measure, level and mount shelves, coat hooks, curtain rails and other everyday fittings.
Small timber repairs: Repair or replace damaged sections of skirting, architraves and other non-structural trim.

Protected the floor and fittings, filled small holes and sanded the patches. Primed the repaired areas, then applied fresh coats of paint to the walls.

Walls, doors & trim

Freshen up a room, repaint tired woodwork or finish off after a repair. Tell me which surfaces need painting and roughly how big the area is.

Room repaints: Prepare and repaint interior walls, whether it’s one bedroom or a few areas around the house.
Doors & woodwork: Sand and repaint doors, door frames, skirting boards and other interior trim.
Preparation & small patches: Fill nail holes and minor surface damage, sand smooth and prime repaired areas before painting.
Touch-ups after repairs: Paint over completed repairs or scuffed areas. If a touch-up won’t blend, I can talk you through repainting the wall.

I’m Hayden. The small jobs started with friends and family: a shelf here, a sticking door there, a room that needed a coat of paint. I liked the work, so I kept going.
